How we make money
We think you should know who funds this site and how, so you can weigh what we publish. Here it is in plain terms.
Who operates this site
Paint Protection Pros is operated by Amplified Marketing Group, LLC ("AMG"), a Florida marketing company. Paint Protection Pros is a product of AMG, not a separate company. AMG provides marketing services to automotive shops, and some of the shops listed on this site are AMG clients. That is a paid business relationship, and we disclose it here and in the footer of every page.
How the site is funded
This site is funded by AMG. The site also earns money from an optional shop membership. A shop can pay a monthly membership fee to claim its page, add detail, and receive matched customer leads. Membership is the only thing a shop can buy from us. Most shops on the site do not pay us anything and are listed anyway.
What a paid membership buys
Membership buys access and clearly-labeled exposure, and nothing more:
- The ability to claim and edit the shop's own page.
- A membership badge and a labeled placement, always disclosed as a paid partnership.
- Priority routing of customer leads that come through our forms.
- Tools such as tracked links and a monthly report of views, clicks, and calls.
What money can never buy
The line that matters most: money never buys a grade or a ranking. Specifically, paying us does not buy any of the following:
- The Verified mark. The Verified checkmark is earned by meeting our public standard. A shop that pays us and does not meet the standard does not get it. A shop that meets the standard and pays us nothing does. See the verification standard.
- Listing position. The directory is ordered by our objective standard, never by who pays. A paying shop cannot move up the list, and a non-paying shop cannot be pushed down or hidden.
- Editorial coverage. Our guides, comparisons, and recommendations are written independently. Paying us does not buy a mention, a link, or a favorable review, and being an AMG client is not a factor in what we write.
These are the same criteria for every shop, member or not. They are published and applied identically.
How our pricing data is collected
Our pricing numbers come from public sources and verified quotes, not from paying shops. We compile them from published price menus, manufacturer directories, and real dated quotes, and a person reviews them before they are published. Nothing is invented, and a member shop cannot buy a better price or a softer number. Full detail is on our methodology page.
How a shop gets removed
Any shop can ask to be removed from the site, whether or not it pays us. Email hello@paintprotectionpros.net from a shop contact and we will remove the listing within 48 hours. If a listing has a factual error, email the same address and we will correct or remove it on the same 48-hour basis.
