I founded Paint Protection Pros because I wanted a place where the average consumer could get all the information they need before spending thousands of dollars protecting what drives them. That place did not exist. Search ceramic coating or PPF and you get a shop's sales page, a forum argument from 2019, or two quotes $1,800 apart for what both shops call the same job - with no honest way to tell which one is fair.

I am a car enthusiast, and I spent half my professional career in the car audio industry. That is where I learned how this side of the business actually works: the same vehicle, the same job, and a price spread wide enough to make you wonder what you are really paying for. Install quality varies enormously. The good shops are worth every dollar they charge. And the buyer almost never has enough information to tell the difference before the work starts.

So this site is the thing I wanted to hand people. Publicly sourced pricing with the sources attached. Plain definitions for every term the first time it appears. Real differences between the films and coatings people are being quoted. And a willingness to say the part a seller never will - that a lighter package is often the smarter buy, and that plenty of vehicles need nothing at all.

Paint Protection Pros is not a shop. We do not install anything, sell film, or warranty work. Shops can pay for clearly disclosed exposure once they have already met our published standards. No shop can pay for a better grade, a higher ranking, a review, or a recommendation. That line is the entire reason this site is worth reading, and I am the one who holds it.
